Bridal Portrait Locations Dallas
Location is paramount when it comes to getting the best bridal portraits. Luckily, the Dallas area has a lot of beautiful places to offer for locations for a shoot. Here’s a look at some of the most popular places to take your Dallas bridal portraits.
Miette Photography is proud to serve the Dallas area for over 20 years. Owner Jayme Okerblom knows some great spots around Dallas to give you just what you’re looking for, from outdoor bridal photography to intimate sessions in her private Dallas studio. She also specializes in maternity and newborn portraits, as well as family photography.
Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
The Dallas Arboretum offers 66 acres of natural beauty in East Dallas on the shores of White Rock Lake. The property is full of arching shade trees, bubbling fountains, water walls, lush green lawns, blooming gardens, and interesting architectural structures. It is the perfect place for taking bridal portraits straight out of a fairytale throughout the entire year. I particularly love taking bridal portraits inside the DeGolyer House, and on its lawn, which offers spectacular views over the lake and of downtown Dallas.
The Dallas Arboretum is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Brides should plan ahead to reserve their VIP dressing room, as changing in restrooms is not permitted. Visit their website to learn more about the location and decide if it is right for you.
Mandalay Canal at Las Colinas
If you are looking for city feel, the Mandalay Canal could be the perfect spot. Modern skyscrapers contrast with the European style canal running right down the middle, making it a popular spot for bridal photos. There is a lot of variety at this location, so you won’t run out of ideas while you are there.
The canals are available year-round, and can make for beautiful photos any time of day. It is only 15 minutes west of Dallas, and is well worth the short trek. Check out their website here for more information.
Deep Ellum is a funky urban neighborhood in downtown Dallas. This vibrant area is one of the most historically significant areas in Dallas, and local and national artists have painted murals on the sides of many of the brick buildings. There are also cool sculptures that make for a great backdrop for Dallas bridal photos. The urban bride is sure to find a spot to fit her taste.
This neighborhood is in the eastern part of downtown, and is full of Texas art and culture. Check out the neighborhood’s website here for more information and a complete look at what it has to offer.
