I sometimes get requests from clients to see a typical photoshoot – the full range of photos – instead of one or two choice ones I have added to my portfolio. So I have added these shots from a recent newborn photoshoot to give you an idea. This is also a really good example of a location newborn photoshoot in a client’s home. This particular home was PERFECT for baby photography – lots of natural light and a good variety of furniture and props. This is also a good example of a photoshoot designed for a particular interior design style.

In our pre-session consultation (this one via phone) I discussed with the client their home decor and the look they wanted for the shoot overall. They have a modern home with colorful, slightly Mid-Century style furniture and decor. We came away with an idea to incorporate a lot of the furniture as props and some of their accessories as design elements in the photos. They now have large photos to hang on their walls that will match not only their personal aesthetic but their space as well. I also threw in a couple of funny ones of the couple asleep in-between prop changes. Newborn babies are EXHAUSTING and you have to catch asleep where you can.
