Last week, I shared the first in a two-part series of a Dallas family expecting twins. This week, in part two, I’ve got some sweet moments from the twins’ newborn photo session.
Photographing twins is a special treat: double the cuteness, double the baby love. You can see their connection in these photos. As with every newborn photo session, I don’t use a lot of props. The babies don’t need it. Instead, I want the focus to be on them. With twins, I use different colored, but similarly textured, soft blankets, or just a visually interesting background, like a furry blanket. What else would you expect to see such tiny boys laying on except the softest, most gentle things?
Mom and dad included their precious preschool-aged daughter in the twins’ newborn photo session, something that helps older kids feel special and important. She was really excited to be a big sister, and it shows in the contented look on her face.
At the end of this post, I included a photo of mom from last week, laying on her back against a black background as part of her maternity photo session (you’d never guess she was pregnant with twins). Just below, the photo of her in a similar pose with her twins on her belly. I enjoy the juxtaposition and beauty of her pregnant body and then the beautiful boys. Enjoy!
