I’ve been working as a Dallas baby photographer (and family, child, maternity, and wedding photographer) for many years now. I love working with my clients to capture memories they’ll treasure. Every day presents new opportunities and challenges to expand my skills because no two photo shoots are ever the same.

I’m particularly drawn to first-time moms—I remember that feeling so well. Everything was new and a little scary. My baby boy was enchanting, but I wasn’t sure what I was doing. I wanted to capture those memories to have them last forever.

Today’s blog post is of a recent Dallas newborn photo session. This is the first child for this gorgeous mom, and her love shows in the photos of them together. There’s a tenderness and pride that shines through. I’m so glad she chose to be a part of the photos. Her daughter will love seeing the photos when she’s older.

The baby girl was a pleasure to photograph. She slept through most of the session, and posed easily, even when I was changing her hats. Sleepy babies are the cutest. She will be coming back soon for six-month photos, and I’ll bet she’s awake a lot more. The difference between newborns and even a few months older is quite impressive.
