Six Month portraits are such a blast. I love having those little sponges in my West Dallas Studio. They are eager little learners, and absolutely everything is new to them. They are amazed by it all, and I love watching that. Even more, I love capturing that for families. This little girl was a blast and the newborn from my last blog!
Mobile Six Month Old
I know every mom is yelling, “SLOW DOWN!” when their baby gets mobile. We never want them to grow up because they are just so cute and squishy when they are tiny. I will say, mobile babies, make for the cutest photos. This little babe was just cruising. She was digging into everything, and it was all incredible to her. Books, balls, dolls and rugs- she loves it all. She was also making the cutest faces. This little girl was just so happy and loved it all.
Bring Home to the Studio
Studios can be weird for shy babies. It is all new, and there are big lights and a strange lady pointing a camera at them. Sometimes they are not the biggest fans. For that, I love to bring some things the family does at home, into the studio. With this session, we brought in mom to help baby walk. I think that is one of the cutest shots, as well as shots of Mom and baby reading time. Not only is it comforting to the baby, but it is nice to have those shots of things that are familiar. I will also use music to either soothe a child or to make them happy. Yes, that means sometimes I sing silly songs. But they love it and often try to dance or clap along. It’s a fun experience to get to play with these little’s.
