I think I have made it clear over the years that I LOVE maternity sessions. They are so fun, and you can do so much with them in the studio. And I love even more when these gorgeous expecting mamas bring their older kids to join in. Truly such a blast, and the shots end up incredible.
Older Baby Joins Maternity Session
I love it when mamas let their little one join in on the session. This little girl was a rockstar in the studio, and we got to grab some of the best shots of her! Since she is at such a fun age, her personality was just front and center. This champ does not need much direction in front of the camera- and there is truly no way to grab a bad shot of her. Plus, I think mamas feel a little more at ease with their big kids around, and selfishly, I love the energy they bring.
A Period of Change
Another big perk of bringing big kids along to your maternity session is that you get to capture so many different elements of your life, during this period of change. With a newborn on the way so many things are going to change…. Everything is going to change, really. The shots with your first baby will be great to look back on and remember what your life was like right before baby number two comes to join the party.
