In my many years as a DFW baby photographer, I have met some seriously cute children. But today’s takes the cake. This may be the single most adorable baby I have ever seen (including my own!). I have never wanted to nibble on a little one so badly as when I was taking these pictures. Look at that face, those rolls, that curl. I die.
This family is a repeat client—I shot the mom’s maternity photos as well as newborn photos of this doll. This is one of the great joys of my work as a baby photographer: getting to know families and watching them grow. This family wanted to capture milestones in their lives, including pregnancy, newborn, and eight months old, which is picture below. Seven or eight months is a great age to photograph because the baby is sitting up well, making lots of eye contact, and her personality is starting to shine through in her every move.
This little girl was a delight to photograph—active, cheerful, and spirited. She happily posed for me, and created her own looks for the camera. This was especially true when I gave her a red rubber ball. She went to town playing and rolling it around and I captured a few award-winning smiles. For most of the photos, she was nude, but we put on her christening gown for several photos (simply gorgeous), and a beautiful lavender gown for others, including one with her mama that is sure to become a family treasure in the years to come.
