One of the benefits of taking baby pictures of a slightly older child — say, six months old versus a newborn — is that you get some big, genuine, gummy smiles. They’re just so happy about everything and it shows.
Today, I’m sharing a recent photo shoot from my Dallas studio with one super smiley little girl. I took her newborn photos (see those here) and this six-month photo session was part of a baby photo package with her beautiful mom and big sister. I offer several different package options that can include maternity photos, newborn photos, a six-month session, and a one-year session.
What big changes you see in such a short period of time — you blink and your baby gets bigger. That’s just one reason why it’s so important to take professional baby pictures during the first year of your baby’s life. While you’re busy parenting and fighting fatigue and figuring out your child’s sleep schedule, all these changes are happening and it can be easy to overlook them. Professional photography captures a moment in time. And you can look back on it for years to come (when you’re more rested) and treasure those memories.
For this photo session, baby girl had lots of outfits and different poses. First with mom, then some classic naked baby shots. Secondly, big sister, and finally in a tub outside. She is completely adorable in all of them! And I love that the shoot includes other family members, too. It’s a great way to make older siblings feel special and for mom to have a reason to get dressed up and pose with her precious girl.
