Family photos are a parent’s dream! There is nothing like getting your whole crew together and capturing those moments, so you never forget them. Older kids can be, let’s say, less-than-excited. Which is why it is important to gather somewhere and with someone that is fun.
Older Kids Too
Your kids are never too old for family photos… that is just a fact that us parents are trying to drill into them, to make those photoshoots go by smoother. An outdoor session can be the perfect way to loosen them up and get them in an environment that is fun and stress-free. As a photographer, I work really hard at creating a setting that is easy to loosen up in and making the whole process less tense. Cameras can make people freeze, and the goal is to make you and your crew forget about it and to be yourselves.
Spring is Coming for Family Sessions
Taking the session outside is not only stunning, but helps to loosen up the older kids. I always advise for an outdoor session for teens for this reason and the bonus in Fall or Spring is that the locations look great. The shift from Summer to Fall is beautiful, and the colors are so vibrant. The same is true for Winter to Spring. It is a crisp time of year, and really adds a dimension of life to your session. I would recommend scheduling a session for spring ASAP! It is an incredibly popular time of year, and my schedule fills up fast.
