I recently met the Dallas Stars’ #1 fan, and she’s a lot younger than you might expect.
At an infant photo shoot this spring, I had the pleasure of meeting this newborn baby girl, the daughter of one of the players for the Dallas Stars. She’s the apple of her parents’ eyes and this photo session was all about capturing her sweetness.
Soft blankets are a mainstay for my newborn photo sessions, both as background and accessories. They add not only color to the images but also help them sleep. It may seem like a no-brainer, but newborn skin is ultra sensitive and placing them on any old blanket or in a scratchy wrap just does not work. Their delicate skin requires care and I am always mindful of that.
I don’t use a lot of other props because these adorable subjects are the greatest accessory for all my photos. They don’t need a bunch of bells and whistles that could be distracting. But a few carefully selected props used sparingly in this infant photo shoot, like a pink tulle tutu, flower headband, and pink ruffled diaper cover, can add to the overall charm. But honestly, she, like most babies, did not need a single thing to make her any more perfect.
