Every parent knows how important the first birthday milestone is. It is such a fun time, and really a big deal. You did it, and your little nugget is growing and learning so much every day. One-year-olds are so fun and have so much personality just busting at the seams.
Full Family First Birthday Milestone
Moms and Dads are all about their one-year-old, as they should be, which is exactly why they book one-year sessions. There is so much that happens in the first year of being a parent, not only with your new little buddy but with YOU. The focus of your session, will always, always, always be your one-year-old. However, I will always encourage you, parents, jumping in on the session. Not only will it be so fun to look back on the shots of all of you together at the one-year mark but looking at the pics of you throughout the years will be incredible. Looking at pictures of you two from when you were dating, newlywed and now parents of a one-year-old! It’s just so so fun to do and to look back on. Be sure to capture those big family milestones.
Cake Smash
I know, I am always preaching about avoiding trendy and stereotypical themes to photoshoots. My big exception is the one-year Cake Smash. The cake smash isn’t “trendy”, it is classic and a right-of-passage. It is also DARN CUTE. Whether your kid absolutely hates being dirty and cries the whole time, or loves it and is having the time of their lives, the pictures will be adorable and perfect to share for years to come.
