I recently had the opportunity to photograph this lovely lady for some head shots.
Lately I’ve been working almost exclusively with newborns and babies, so this is was nice break from the snot, cries, and poo. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a sucker for fat baby rolls and baby giggles like the next woman, but a head shot session for a young actress was very welcome. And this girl is a great subject.
The obvious perks of working with older kids and young adults are as follows: 1) They’ve got awesome personalities, full of unique humor and interests. 2) Conversation is typically much more lively. 3) They’ll generally follow direction much more easily. 4) Much less poo.
This girl was a breeze to photograph. She’s smart, funny, and a natural in front of the camera – not surprising given her acting abilities. Now she’ll have some professional looking head shots to pass around at upcoming auditions. And one day I’ll get to say I knew her when. Happiness all around.
