Fall is headed our way quicker than I could even imagine and that means family sessions. I think it’s safe to say that we are all looking forward to cooler weather, but there is a lot to get done in the next few months. Even though it may seem early… Christmas and Holiday card photos should be at the top of every family’s list! The holidays will be here before you know it!
Soul Sisters
This family was an absolute delight. Three little girls, three little angels. The dynamic between these girls was amazing to watch. They all have the most amazing, and different personalities. As a Mom myself, I know how important it is to let your little ones’ personalities shine. Especially in family portraits. So for these girlies, we thought that props would be an amazing idea to help showcase their characters. With just some hats, headbands and a fan- you can see a lot by how they handle them.
Families are all different
Every family has their own dynamic. They are the only ones that truly understand, and it is so important to try and get glimpses into that during family sessions. It is good to get the “perfect” shot where everyone is standing there, smiling, but it is so much more fun to look back on photos where there is personality shining through. One great way to do that, especially with preteens, teenagers and kids in general, is to get Mom and Dad doing something “embarrassing.” Kids hate embarrassing parents, and their reactions are always true to their own individual nature. Plus – the shots always get a laugh when you look back on them.
