Truer words were never spoken — a happy childhood is a gift children carry with them their entire lives. It often creates for them a happy adulthood, too, and we certainly could use more happiness in the world.
One of the joys of my work as a Dallas child photographer is meeting children who are leading a beautiful and charmed life. Today’s post features two such girls from a great family I’ve photographed before. The parents wanted in-home child photography this time after completing a big house renovation (last time, they were outdoors by White Rock Lake). What a beautiful backdrop for pictures that ended up being so fun to take.
The kids have quite different personalities, and each girl was able to fully express her beautiful self in a familiar setting. A nice things about being at home is the ability to have lots of different settings, from in front of the house and by the swimming pool in back, to individual bedrooms, living areas, and the sunroom. It creates a variety of looks and feelings for each picture. I love the sassy poses, as well as the more relaxed ones — the younger sister, in particular, was hilarious during our time together with her big, vibrant personality.
