First birthdays are the best! There are so many milestones that come in the first year of your baby’s life, and I am a firm believer that it needs to be documented. Turning one is such a joyful memory for all of you parents, and something your babe will love to see pictures of later down the road.
Bringing Outside, Inside
This is one of the rare instances that I love props. This session is so gorgeous and unique. I love how we got to blend outdoor elements with an amazing and clean environment that a studio provides. The pinecones, and wooden plates we put the cake on, meshed the worlds of outdoor sessions and studio sessions perfectly. So warm, classic and timeless- all of the things we strive for in a good one-year session.
First Birthday Classic
A first birthday session is not complete without a good ol’ cake smash. It is done for babies all around the world for a reason- it is so stinkin’ cute! Letting your little one dig into a cake, and capturing their reaction is the best. And, just to add a little twist to the cake smash, I love doing the post-cake tub pictures. No matter if your little nugget loves or hates baths- the pictures will be cute and you’ll love remembering bath time. Whether tub-time is full of tears, or giggles, you and your family will love looking back on the shots!
