Most of the time, I don’t use a lot of infant photography props in my work. I think the babies speak for themselves and don’t need much extra to make for beautiful photographs. But sometimes, you just gotta include something special for the family. Because it’s awesome.
Today, I’m sharing the 1 month old newborn photography of a Dallas family (see the mom’s stylish maternity photos here). Dad was a bigtime football player and his new daughter is being welcomed into a family that loves the sport. We included a football helmet, jerseys, and a diaper cover in the team color purple. She looks positively precious, especially when she’s in the helmet. These were the perfect infant photography props that added something meaningful.
When you’re considering what baby photography props you want in your 1 month old newborn photography, think about what’s important to you. A sweet knitted hat or ruffly diaper cover, like below, can add color and texture to your photos. And, of course, they make them extra sweet because what’s cuter than a tiny baby in an adorable outfit?
We also decided to include the older daughter with her new little sister and captured some wonderful shots of them, as well as photos of the family together. These will be treasured family memories for years to come.
