It is no secret that my specialty is Newborn Sessions. I love them. Having those sweet little newborns in my Dallas studio is so much fun. But I know it can be incredibly difficult to decide on the direction you want your session to go. Here are a couple of my favorite ways to set your session apart from the millions you see on Pinterest.
The Whole Family and a Newborn
I know it is a “newborn session.” All emphasis on the newborn, and we will never take away from that. However, I am a HUGE advocate of getting the whole family involved or even just the parents. Having a new baby is a milestone not only for this new being you brought into the world but for you too! Make sure to get those shots of all of you guys together to look back on. Your new addition will LOVE seeing those photos of you adoring them when they are older.
Make it Personal
There are a million baby portraits out in the world for you to look at. Some of them even have incredible, creative ideas that you can use. But use your own personality and family dynamic to bring that to life. Whether you are putting one of dad’s ties on your new baby boy or putting a monogrammed diaper on your babe… just make it yours. Bring in personal items to your shoot and let me know in our pre-session meeting if you have any ideas. We can talk about them, and maybe even come up with some incredible ideas together, to make your session stand out.
