A newborn girl is cause for great celebration and in the photo session I’m sharing with you today, we’re rolling out the red carpet for a sweet little girl.
This newborn photo shoot took place recently in my Dallas studio and mom wanted her little girl to look like a tiny princess with several props she brought from home. To achieve this look, we used a crown, headbands, hat, and a poofy tutu. Coupled with fluffy blankets and soft lighting, Eden looks like tiny, adorable royalty.
Mom wanted to be a part of this newborn photo shoot, and I’m so pleased with that decision. She looks gorgeous in a flowing dress, and her adoration for Eden is so evident. I always think it’s amazing when a new mom looks this glamorous so soon after giving birth. (Personally, I was in a t-shirt and sweatpants this soon after the birth of both of my kids.)
Unlike most royalty, baby Eden snoozed through most of her newborn photo shoot, but that’s to be expected in a child this age. Their main activities are sleeping, eating, and pooping, and the latter two don’t make for good professional pictures. Being born is hard work and newborns need to catch up on their sleep.
I deliver around 75 to 80 photos to every client, and they’re all keepers. But I always have a few favorites from each newborn photo shoot, and this time, it’s the one of Eden in her mom’s blue handbag. Could she be any more tiny and cute? And that little blue headband!
