If you’re thinking digital images are the way to go after a professional photo session, I encourage you to reconsider. Lots of people imagine their options are greater when they buy digital images and print hard copies/frame on their own. But the opposite is actually true. Most of the time, those digital files sit on a computer or phone for months or even years before a print or two get made. And after that, it’s a hassle to find the right place to do it all. I actually have a print minimum with my clients, partially for this reason. I want these precious pictures to be a treasured part of a family, not languishing files on a laptop.

One of my favorite options is a newborn photo album. This has 25 images (50 for a double album) – your favorites from our time together. I deliver at least 70 images to each client. They’re all keepers, so you may have a hard time deciding what to include! I create each album in Photoshop for my clients, and every one is unique. You and your baby are one-of-a-kind and your newborn photo album should be, too.

The albums themselves feature UV-coated board book pages, the same quality you’ll find in high-end wedding albums. Because they’re so well made, the pages won’t yellow or fade with time. Couple that with my photography style, which is minimalist and timeless. You’ll have a family heirloom that looks as relevant and beautiful in 20 years as it does on the day you receive it. Many of my clients say these albums are so pretty, they end up being coffee table books for many years. And little kids love looking at photos of themselves when they were tiny babies. You can opt to add poetry or prose as in this book. I have some great samples of baby-relevant poetry that are just perfect for this.

The pages below are from a recent Dallas newborn photo session in my private studio. This is the beautiful baby girl of my maternity couple featured last week on the blog. Mom and dad created two albums, a maternity book and the one you see below. Isn’t she precious? I love how this album turned out, and so did they.

If you’re expecting a baby and would like to create a newborn photo album after our professional photography session, please call or text me at at 214.864.5787 or use my online contact form. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
