Sometimes, the best part of falling in love is sharing that joy with other people. That’s the case today with this newborn photo session for the whole family. They’ve clearly all fallen in love with this baby boy and wanted to share the experience with each other.
Last week, I featured the maternity photos for this beautiful mama and her family. What happiness in the expectation of baby boy’s arrival. When he finally did arrive earthside, he was greeted by his older sister, dad, and mom, who all were part of this newborn photo session. We started with pictures of the siblings, mom and her two babies, and dad with baby. Each image captures the connection between family members and this new little guy.
Once his family shots were over, it was time for this newborn boy’s cameos. I made sure to get lots of individual images of him. My photographic style never uses too many props — they’re distracting and take the eye away from the subject — but I love a soft, knitted hat or nubbly blanket. And a naked baby is always adorable, especially when dad is holding him.
At the bottom of this post, you can see a collage of photos I created. When my clients are ordering prints and products, this is a popular image that combines some of the 70 or 80 final images I deliver after a shoot. All of them are keepers and lots of people have trouble choosing. So a photo collage solves that problem and looks great in an album or as a print.
