Often clients want to include a particular element or prop in the shoot that has a certain significance to them. Sometimes it’s a favorite toy or snuggly stuffed animal that their little one is especially attached to. Other times they want to hold the shoot at a specific location, such as their home or a favorite outdoor park.
This little guy had a rough entry into the world and even had to deal with some surgery. So his parents wanted to wear their hospital wristbands in a few photos as a special memento from that time. See the pink band on Dad’s wrist in the photos below.
And even with Baby all healthy and well now, I like his parents’ choice of wearing the bands. It’s not so much wanting to memorialize a particularly hard time as it is a reminder to be thankful that those difficulties are in the past. And thankful they have the present and future to look forward to.
