The no-makeup-makeup look is gaining traction, thankfully for all of us that don’t like spending hours on our makeup in the morning. Personally, I love it because it highlights everyone’s natural glow, and will never be out of style. Here are my personal tips, and products for achieving the no-makeup-makeup look!
Good Mascara or False Eyelashes-
Eyelashes are my favorite way to draw attention to my eyes, without being over the top. I tend to spend a little more money on my mascara than other products, but that is a personal preference. My go-to is Tarte Gifted or Marc Jacobs. However, Covergirl kills it in the mascara game! Don’t knock the drugstore.
CC Cream-
In place of a full-coverage foundation, I like a light CC Cream. It is the best way to cover discoloration or imperfections you are looking to hide, without looking cakey. I love Supergoop’s CC Cream, but they definitely don’t have the most shade options. IT Cosmetics has a great, more affordable one with more shades.
Tinted Lip Balm-
A tinted lip balm is a great staple. It adds that extra zest to your makeup routine without being heavy like a liquid lipstick, gloss or regular lipstick. Honest Beauty, Jessica Alba’s cosmetic line, has a great tinted lip balm that is incredibly affordable.
Subtle Contour-
A subtle contour isn’t something you would need for an everyday natural makeup day, but on the camera it is helpful. Without a little extra dimension, shadows can be lost. If you love to contour, do it. For me, I love the Hoola Lite bronzer by Benefit Cosmetics. It is great, light and multi-purposed. I will use it for a light contour, but also as an eyeshadow. It adds the perfect dimension and makes light eyes pop without going full glam.
Fill. Those. Eyebrows.-
Eyebrows are one of the things that are completely underrated. You can take eyebrows as far as you want, or just a subtle fill in the sparse parts is incredible. ColourPop makes an amazing and cheap eyebrow pencil that is awesome. It is a super buildable product, so if eyebrows intimidate you this product is perfect. You have to work at going overboard with this pencil.
