Last week, I shared the beautiful maternity photos of a local Dallas family. This mom-to-be chose a variety of types of shots for her maternity photos, and dad was a part of the event, too. They wanted to capture the before-and-after of their baby’s life, and I love the results (so did they!).
This week, we did the Dallas newborn photography of their precious girl. This baby is seriously adorable and dons her Easter bunny hat and pink ruffly pants for one shot. Of course, the star of any newborn photoshoot is the baby herself. But this family made the smart decision to be part of the event, too. And I’m so glad. A baby is part of a family and when mom and dad are part of the photos, it shows the sweet relationships forming.
I’m especially fond of the photos below of mom and baby girl. It makes me think of Sufi mysticism, which says the soul of the child looks down at the world and sees every soul that resides in every woman. When she finds the one that will be able to help her fulfill his life’s purpose and destiny, she makes her decision. They believe the relationship between the mother and child is no accident and the soul made the choice for a reason. Beautiful.
