Every pregnant almost-mama has Maternity Portraits on the brain. It is so easy to scroll through Pinterest and find the hot shots of the season. But it is way more fun to play with what you like, and make the session your own. I had an absolute blast with this couple, and getting their maternity shots. I may be biased, but I think they turned out to be INCREDIBLE.
Make your Maternity Portraits Art
Every couple has their own distinct personality, and it is important to let that shine through portraits. With this beautiful duo, we played with a couple of really fun, subtle, details that brought their shots to the next level. Black and white shots are such a good way to make your session bold, and striking. Especially with the soft window light from behind. We also played with semi-nude shots – another amazing way to make your portraits look like they should be hanging in a gallery. The combination of black and white, with the semi-nude, is just stunning.
Bring in The Hubby
I know, you’re the pregnant one. But, honestly, just look at the way this Dad-to-be looks at his pregnant lady. Melts my heart. It is seriously a special time for both of you, and the masculine energy that is brought in by Dad is amazing. Even if he just hops in for a few shots, like in this session, the outcome is incredible.
