Just when I think six-month olds couldn’t be more fun, a nugget like this strolls into my private studio. This was such a fun and subtly-unique session that tied in personality with classic professional photos. I think we found the perfect balance for this little one and her family.
Six-Month Quirky Personality
I am a massive fan of six-month sessions. Six-month olds are fun, curious and quirky. They are adorable and messy little sponges, and I ALWAYS want their individuality to shine bright. That is exactly why I am so obsessed with this session. This gorgeous little one was having the time of her life. She was just playing with the camera and running around like crazy. Because of that, we got some super fun shots. She was owning the studio. We mixed in some formal photos with fun and quirky outfits for her to pose with her stuffed animals. It was true to her big personality.
The Studio
The studio is the best place to bring your little ones at this age. However, kids are hit or miss on how they react to a stranger with a camera pointed at them. Some just flourish and run around like they were made for it, and others get really nervous and closed off. The studio is the best place for either type. There are no outside distractions and typically, even the grouchiest of tyke’s will warm up with me. But, even with that some little ones just need time and a slower pace while others take charge of the room from the beginning. Above all, the studio is a calm, safe environment, allowing your child to go at their own pace.
