It’s that time of year again! While some moms are getting ready to welcome a new bundle of joy, others are sending their “babies” off to college. Springtime senior portraits are a big part of the celebration and a personal favorite of mine to photograph. From yearbook photos to family albums and online sharing, senior portraits are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture this exciting time in your child’s life.

Indoor or Outdoor Portraits?

Now is the ideal time to book your teen’s outdoor springtime senior portraits. Trees are turning green, flowers are blooming and the light is bright and airy, perfect for outdoor portraits. Studio portraits are always an option as well. Many of my clients like to book both options, starting in studio and ending with an afternoon outdoor shoot. This provides a variety of images for all the ways you and your teen want to share your portraits. A studio space allows for more fashion options as well as privacy while an outdoor shoot brings together beauty of spring with the richness of an urban or rural environment.

Endless Exciting Options

There are endless outdoor options for photography in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex to take advantage of this gorgeous weather. From eclectic downtown vignettes to art museums to rustic, rural locations. The sky’s the limit for your teen’s portraits. Why not try a few different locations and get multiple looks for all the ways you want to share your child’s photos? I have years of experience shooting all around the metroplex and I’m happy to recommend locations based on your teen’s unique needs and wants.
