I came across this shoot recently, taken last winter sometime before Christmas, and just wanted to share it. This was a fun and special shoot for this family. Grandma wanted photos taken of their mother with her grandchildren before she left to return to Asia.
These kids are real cuties, and I’ve photographed them before, for some stylish portraits and for one of the most epic candid kid meltdowns ever. This time there were no tantrums, it was a little chilly, but everyone was happy and on their best behavior.
These types of family portraits are important for many people with relatives who live far away or out of state. It’s usually not too hard to schedule a shoot if you have some family members who are planning on coming into the Dallas area for an upcoming trip. It’s always nice to meet parents, grandparents or other extended family members of my clients when they’re in town. I like knowing that after they leave, the photos are processed and they’ll get some nice portraits in the mail.
Win-win!
