All the babies I photograph are special. I always love to hear the stories of how they were wanted and welcomed into their families and the world. Some were a bit of a surprise. Some were planned. And some were planned and took a long, long time to get here. For the babies of parents who struggled with infertility, their stories are especially poignant and beautiful to me. These are the most wanted children in the world. Their creation was a situation of both struggle and hope. And their arrival is the time of greatest joy!
Today, I’m sharing the three month baby photos of a little boy born through a surrogate. His mom and dad are so, so thankful to have him and it showed. They didn’t take newborn photos, so they wanted to get in right away when he was three months old. This is a wonderful age for professional photos! Babies are alert and adorable with some quality rolls. In addition, they can do things like grab toes and look right into the camera. In fact, grabbing the toes is a three month milestone to capture.
I got up close and personal with this little darling boy! He was happy to have some tummy time and lift his head up, as well as a little naked baby time, and toe time. He was a true pleasure to photograph, with a relaxed and easy-going demeanor. Dad is a Cubs fan, so we made sure to include some jersey action in several of the shots.
