The first year is over! Look at this baby from my last post. She was one of the cutest six-month-olds ever, and now look at her as a one-year-old. So adorable. I love repeat families, especially when I get to watch their little ones grow up, and be a part of capturing their personalities.

Urban One Year Shoot

This family is so much fun, and so I thought it would be amazing to put them in a more urban environment. This shoot was done in Deep Ellum, on the East side of downtown Dallas. Deep Ellum is a super artsy part of town. There are tons of murals, art installations and other amazing things to use as details and personality in your session. It can be as bold, or as subtle as you want – which is the absolute best part of using the area as a location.

Bold is Bold

For this one-year shoot, we also thought it would be fun to get the whole family involved, big brother and all. It was so cute to see them together and to really try and capture the whole family’s vibe. I also love that with her six-month shoot we kept it really subtle. Nothing crazy, just a cute little bow. But with this one-year shoot, we went bold. The red wall turned out to be one of the cutest spots ever and really added some “pop” to the session.
