As a longtime Dallas newborn photographer, one of my favorite things is seeing families created and families expanded. It’s a beautiful thing to witness the new baby girl being welcomed to her tribe by people who already love her to the moon and back.
Today, I’m sharing the newborn photo session of a wonderful Dallas family: mom, dad, pre-teen big brother, and tiny baby girl. I’m always thrilled when newborn photos include other family members. Part of the magic of my job is capturing the authentic nature of relationships between people. The first photo below, in particular, makes my mama heart swell. I have two kids and that are getting big way too fast and I remember the cuddly early days well.
With every client, I have a pre-shoot consultation either in person or over the phone. During this time, we talk about vision for the photoshoot, and desired look and feel. Some people come to me with very specific ideas in mind. However, others are looking for guidance. I have an extensive portfolio of newborn photos that can be inspiration, too. I’ve been in this business for almost 20 years. And while I’ve worked with hundreds of families, every person is a unique visual story. I’m always looking for ways to best communicate that tale, as honestly and beautifully as possible.
