This little beauty comes all the way from Australia. You just know she’s going to have an exciting life, for sure – 3-weeks-old and she’s already an international traveler. Her parents were in town for a bit, had seen my site, and wanted to get in some last-minute photos before they left.

As with the last 3-week-old shoot that I featured, this little Aussie girl didn’t sleep quite as much as most newborns do. But that’s ok. That just meant we were able to get some beautiful shots of her pretty face with eyes open, taking in the world.

She’s also had several weeks to get to that perfect level of baby chubbiness, which some parents prefer. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t think tiny little baby fat rolls are cute? She was a big eater, too, so it wasn’t too hard to soothe her back to sleep for a bit and get some good snoozy shots. Babies that are a few weeks old also tend not to curl up into that tight little ball like newborns do but we wrapped her up and got a few curled up shots before she decided to stretch out and get comfortable, and I think these are some of my favorite shots from this session.

So instead of a sleepy, curly baby ball, we got a chubby, stretchy baby Aussie with a sweet face and pretty eyes. Definitely a good exchange.
