One of the great pleasures of working as a Dallas family photographer is watching families change and seeing kids grow up. I love seeing their personalities develop and capturing the changing dynamics between siblings. Today, I’m sharing family photos from a recent session in my East Dallas studio and they are adorable.

This is a repeat client — you can see another family photo session here — and they have three of the cutest kids. When baby number three came along, I shot her newborn photos. This is the six-month session for that girl with siblings included: three girls and mom. Just darling.

Mom wanted an in-studio photo session for her girls in bright, colorful outfits, and that’s what we did. I always shoot in both color and black and white. This time, I leaned more heavily on color photos to capture the vibrancy of their clothing and accessories. Also, take a look at the color of the girls’ eyes: so striking.

When I’m doing family photos, I always get solo pictures of each person, as well as group shots. Everyone — especially a child — wants his or her chance to be in the spotlight. Plus, when clients order prints, it makes for a nice wall grouping to have a family shot in the middle surrounded by individual pictures.

I hope you enjoy these Dallas family photos. If you’re interested in family photography, contact Miette Photography for more details.
