I meet some pretty special wee ones in my work as a Dallas baby photographer. It’s particularly meaningful when I get to work with a family over time, like the one-year baby photos I’m featuring in my blog post today.

Last year, I took newborn photos of this adorable baby boy and his first-time parents. They were thrilled to capture their new dynamic as a trio. So, instead of a traditional solo newborn photoshoot, they opted for one that included mom, dad, and baby. Which captured their relationship, joy, and love for each other. It turned out beautifully and they were thrilled with the results.

I love this mentality and encourage parents to be a part of their child’s photo session. I can take candid shots of the family in action: their laughter, happiness, and energy. In addition, I always include some portrait shots of the baby because everyone loves those. But when mom and dad are part of the event, too, I can get a larger variety of images. I think it also makes the photos that much more special to the extended family — who will definitely want copies, I promise — especially grandparents. They tell me that seeing beloved adult children with their own children is a wistful and meaningful image they truly treasure.

These kinds of photos make for fabulous holiday gifts for family of all ages and relations. Everyone loves opening up the wrapping paper to find something so personal. But to give these you have to book a session ASAP to get those images in time for the holidays.

I only have a few more sessions left in the year, so if you’re interested in professional photos, call or text me on my mobile number, 214.864.5787. You can also use my web contact form and I can get you scheduled to create one-of-a-kind photos.
