Just as with baby, newborn, or family photography, maternity photography can come in many different flavors. It’s important to communicate the maternity photography style you want when scheduling a session.
A few different style types come to mind for maternity photo session: outdoor with a boho feel, outdoor glamorous, indoor glamorous, high fashion, or sweet and demure. It all depends on the final look the client is going for, and their comfort level (some women are fine standing around in the Texas heat at 8 months pregnant, others not so much).
For this session, the client wanted an indoor shoot. The maternity photography style she was going for was glamorous and a little sexy, but not overly so.
Another fun option for maternity shoots is adding in some playful couple shots with the husband or partner.
In the case of this indoor shoot, we were able to get this great silhouette of both parents. A little sexy with the negligee, but also sweet with the kiss to the belly.
