There’s an adage that no two snowflakes are alike, and the same can be said of photography sessions. There are many popular themes or looks that are often requested, but it’s my job to let each person’s unique look and personality shine through, whether baby, child, or adult. And since personalities are just as multi-faceted as snowflakes, there are often many looks and styles that work well for a single subject.
This stunning mother-to-be is a great example. She wanted some romantic and sexy maternity shots like many women want. Easily done, and she rocked the soft poses and moody lighting. But she’s also a big sports fan of her school in Illinois, and athletic herself. So she wanted to have some shots that showed off her sporty aesthetic and pride. Two very different maternity looks that both came out great.
Like any true fan, she’s hoping to pass down the love to her son. I’m not certain what this will entail, but I’m sure it involves tiny jerseys and tennis-shoes in the near future.
